My apologies! We weren’t able to communicate clearly about the changes in version 77. We’ve also just rolled out version 78, so this post will cover updates from both versions!
Use your LM Studio Local Models in Hyprnote (GGUF formats)
Exciting news for local AI enthusiasts and LM Studio users in the Hyprnote community! If you’re running LM Studio on your Mac and have GGUF local models installed, you can now bring them into Hyprnote and use them for summaries and chats.

Above is an example of me using LFM2 1.2B, which I installed through LM Studio.
Do-Not-Disturb mode for Notifications
If you have ‘Do Not Disturb’ enabled on your Mac, you now have the option to choose whether Hyprnote notifications appear during DnD mode. Go to the Notifications tab in your settings window to try it out.

Enhanced Custom Vocabularies
We fixed some bugs in the ‘Custom Vocabulary’ section of the General settings and made the input area larger so it’s easier to add and edit custom vocabularies.
Custom Vocabularies are words that the LLM takes into account when creating meeting summaries. For example, if your STT keeps transcribing ‘Hyprnote’ as ‘Hypernode,’ adding ‘Hyprnote’ to your Custom Vocabulary increases the chance that the LLM will correctly interpret ‘Hypernode’ as ‘Hyprnote’ in your summaries.
Due to technical limitations,
only LLMs (not STT)
currently use custom vocabularies. Also, custom endpoint/cloud LLMs handle custom vocabularies much better than local models.

We’ve also made Custom Vocabularies smarter. Now, if you replace word A with word B in the transcript editor, Hyprnote will automatically learn that preference, add word B to your Custom Vocabulary, and adjust to your language for more accurate summaries in the future.
Minor Bug Fixes
We fixed some issues with transcript editor loading speed.
That’s it for versions 77 and 78. See you soon with a more stable release!
