My apologies! We weren’t able to communicate clearly about the changes in version 77. We’ve also just rolled out version 78, so this post will cover updates from both versions!
Use your LM Studio Local Models in Hyprnote (GGUF formats)
Exciting news for local AI enthusiasts and LM Studio users in the Hyprnote community! If you’re running LM Studio on your Mac and have GGUF local models installed, you can now bring them into Hyprnote and use them for summaries and chats.
image
Above is an example of me using LFM2 1.2B, which I installed through LM Studio.
Do-Not-Disturb mode for Notifications
If you have ‘Do Not Disturb’ enabled on your Mac, you now have the option to choose whether Hyprnote notifications appear during DnD mode. Go to the Notifications tab in your settings window to try it out.
image
Enhanced Custom Vocabularies
We fixed some bugs in the ‘Custom Vocabulary’ section of the General settings and made the input area larger so it’s easier to add and edit custom vocabularies.
Custom Vocabularies are words that the LLM takes into account when creating meeting summaries. For example, if your STT keeps transcribing ‘Hyprnote’ as ‘Hypernode,’ adding ‘Hyprnote’ to your Custom Vocabulary increases the chance that the LLM will correctly interpret ‘Hypernode’ as ‘Hyprnote’ in your summaries.
Due to technical limitations,
only LLMs (not STT)
currently use custom vocabularies. Also, custom endpoint/cloud LLMs handle custom vocabularies much better than local models.
image
image
We’ve also made Custom Vocabularies smarter. Now, if you replace word A with word B in the transcript editor, Hyprnote will automatically learn that preference, add word B to your Custom Vocabulary, and adjust to your language for more accurate summaries in the future.
Minor Bug Fixes
We fixed some issues with transcript editor loading speed.
That’s it for versions 77 and 78. See you soon with a more stable release!
v0.0.75 is out!
Enhanced Background Running Control
In recent versions, Hyprnote continued running in the background even after users pressed Cmd+Q, so meeting notifications could be delivered effectively. We realized this behavior might not suit everyone, so it is now configurable. Hyprnote will only keep running in the background after Cmd+Q if you have notifications enabled (such as audio detection or upcoming event detection).
Updated Settings Window – Send Logs for Better Troubleshooting!
image
image
A lot of our users have been experiencing errors (especially audio-related) that cannot be easily debugged. Now we are trying to change that. In the new Settings Window, you can directly visit the file location that stores Hyprnote’s internal logs. When you run into an error, just send us an email (founders@hyprnote.com) or a Discord message with your log attached. This will make it much easier for us to fix your issue.
Mic Detection Ignore List
image
In the Notifications tab of the settings window, you can now choose which apps should be ignored. For example, if you do not want Hyprnote notifications for an upcoming Zoom meeting, you can exclude “zoom.us” from detection.
Manual Check Updates Button
image
Now, even if something breaks during the automatic update toast operation, you can manually check for updates in the settings dropdown. Press “Check Updates” and the toast modal will tell you if there is an available update or not :)
That's it for today!

v0.0.74 is out!
Custom STT Endpoint
image
Just like you can connect to custom LLM endpoints for summarization/chat, you can now connect Hyprnote to external STT endpoints like Deepgram. This is part of our effort to provide maximum control to our users. You decide which AI model you want to use for both transcription and summarization.
Like custom LLM endpoints, a custom STT endpoint is activated when you select the endpoint configuration box and it turns blue.
Better Audio Handling with Zoom Meetings
We heard from users that STT transcription sometimes hallucinates and produces strange results during Zoom meetings. We identified the issue and shipped a fix in this version. Try Hyprnote with your Zoom meetings and let us know how it went!
Auto-Start at Device Login (for notifications)
image
If you want more reliable notifications for your meetings, you can now choose in the settings tab to automatically start Hyprnote when you log in to your device. This allows Hyprnote to run in the background and send you meeting notifications.
Ask AI
  • Ever wondered if a certain part of your summary was actually mentioned in the meeting?
  • Or if it’s factually correct?
  • Or maybe you just want to re-edit it?
Now, alongside Source Analysis, when you scroll over a section in your meeting summary, you can directly ask questions about that part using the AI chat. Simply click the "Ask AI" button.
image
Copy Template
Pro users can now duplicate and edit built-in templates to fit their needs. Just click the "Duplicate" button on any built-in template you’re viewing, and it’s done.

That's it for v0.0.74! Thank You :)
v0.0.72 is out!
Pro STT Models available
image
We had to fix some bugs to bring Pro STT models back, but now they are here!
To learn how to activate and use Pro models in detail, please refer to the v0.0.69 changelog.
New Meeting Notifications
image
We have enabled both types of notifications now.
When your mic is in use or you have an upcoming event in your calendar, you will see notifications that let you click and open Hyprnote right away :)
Enhanced Backlink Experience
image
We are always thinking of ways to make it easier for our users to manage and link various notes in the most intuitive way.
Starting with this update, if you backlink another note in your current note and click the backlink, you will be able to see the linked note in a separate mini-window.
This will help you access and compare topics or conversations from past meetings more easily without leaving the current note you are working on.
Start Hyprnote to record your meeting more quickly
We want to make it as easy as possible for users to start Hyprnote during back-to-back meetings. As part of that effort, we made a keyboard shortcut for you. When you press Cmd+Opt+H, Hyprnote will automatically pop up and start recording your meeting.
image
Disclaimer: For now, the keyboard shortcut and notifications only work when Hyprnote is still running on your computer. If you have completely quit Hyprnote (Cmd+Q), they will not work. We are figuring out a way for you to use these even when Hyprnote is not running.

We are excited to announce that Hyprnote has reached version 70.
Upcoming Meetings Notification
You can now enable notifications for upcoming meetings in the settings tab. Once enabled, you will receive notifications for upcoming events even when Hyprnote is not open in the main window. By clicking on the notification, Hyprnote will open automatically so you can quickly begin recording your meeting.
image
We are continuing to enhance this feature. Soon, notifications will also appear when audio is detected, allowing you to capture unscheduled meetings with ease.

For HyprCloud Users - your AI Chat just got smarter
Now in AI Chat, if you are using HyprCloud as your LLM provider, you can call tools that enhance your meeting notes with external information from the web.
Currently, HyprCloud provides tools that can search the web (Exa) and read URLs (Jina AI), so you can:
  • prepare for meetings in advance by gathering information about a person or company
  • enrich your meeting notes afterward by adding real-world context
We are continuing to expand the HyprCloud toolset so your AI Chat experience keeps getting smarter.

Real-time STT models for Pro Users (Beta)
Pro users can now try new real-time STT models: Parakeet V2, Parakeet V3, and Whisper Large V3.
Let me guide you through how to use these for your meeting transcription.
First, download the model you want to use from the 'Transcription' tab in the Settings window.
image
When the download is complete, you will see a small dot next to 'Pro Models' change to yellow. This means the STT server is warming up.
image
If the dot turns blue, that means you are ready to go! (grey: server off, yellow: server getting ready, blue: server ready)
image
Try transcribing your meeting. You will first see some grey text being streamed (these are words the AI detected with low confidence). If you give it a few seconds, they will turn black as the AI finalizes its classification.
image
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you run into any issues while trying out the new STT models! We're listening 24/7 on our Discord channel.
Upgraded PDF Export
image
Our goal with the PDF export feature is to help users create meeting notes they’ll be eager to share.
To achieve this, we realized it’s important to let users customize the final appearance of their notes.
So, we added 'themes' to PDFs you can generate. You can now choose from over 13 different PDF themes. To showcase a few:
[Default]
image
[Dark]
image
[Sunset]
image
[Cyberpunk]
image
[Homebrew - s/o to Mac terminal users]
image
Please let us know if there are any themes you'd like to see!
Also, we moved the 'share' button to the note header for better visibility and from now on your PDF files will be saved to your
Downloads
folder!
That's it for v0.0.69 :)

v0.0.68 is out!
Summary Language Configuration (for custom endpoints)
image
If you are using Custom Endpoints for meeting notes summarization, you can now set the summary language to any language you prefer. Just change the Summary Language option in the General tab of the settings window.
At the moment, our local model (HyprLLM) can only generate text in English, so local users will need to wait a little longer to see summaries in other languages. We are working to bring this capability soon.
View Recurring Events
We have refactored the calendar events code. Now, in the Calendar view of the Finder, you can see
recurring events
correctly. This makes it easier to manage complex schedules and meetings with Hyprnote.
HyprCloud (Beta - for Pro users)
For Pro users who want higher-quality summarization but do not want to set up Custom Endpoints or manage API keys, we are introducing HyprCloud. This is a managed external LLM endpoint that you can connect to with a single click.
image
For now, the implementation is basic. You can see details in our docs and GitHub repository. We are currently using the Anthropic API for summarization, chat, and source analysis.
In the coming days, we plan to make HyprCloud much more powerful. Features we are working on include automatic model switching based on context, MCP tools, internal system prompting, and more.
MCP Connection with Chat (Preview)
image
You can now connect MCP servers to Hyprnote AI Chat. This feature is in preview and currently supports:
  • Only SSE servers
  • A maximum of 3 servers
  • Limited external LLMs (Claude 4 Sonnet, GPT-4.1, GPT-4o)
Used properly, this makes the Chat feature a strong meeting assistant. For example, we tested it with Pipedream MCPs and were able to send meeting notes to Slack directly from Chat.
A tutorial with step-by-step instructions will be uploaded soon. Stay tuned.

Prevented Transcript from being autoscrolled every time
We heard your feedback that the transcript auto-scrolling during meetings was frustrating. We’ve fixed it! Now, if you are reading a specific part of the transcript, it will stay in place instead of jumping to the bottom every time new text is added.
That's it for today! Thank you :)
We’ve hot-fixed several bugs. Thank you for your patience :(
  • Fixed foreign language appearing in transcriptions
: While upgrading and integrating a new STT model, some strange foreign text occasionally slipped into transcriptions. This is now fixed, and the new STT model will be rolling out soon.
  • Fixed “In Progress” events disappearing too soon
: Ongoing events in the left sidebar will now remain in the “upcoming events” list until their end time has passed.
  • Auto-tagging after recording ends
: When a recording finishes, AI will now automatically generate and add two new tags to your note. This will help you keep things organized with zero extra effort.
  • Delete tags easily
: Since we are adding AI-generated tags, it is only fair to let you remove them. In the “Tags View” of the Finder, hover over a tag and click the “X” to delete it.

Thanks again for bearing with us. We really appreciate your support.

v0.0.65 is out! with many cool updates and new features :)
Source Analysis (Annotation)
Now, when you scroll through an AI-generated summary and come across a part you’re unsure about or want more details on, you’ll see a popup saying "Source".
image
Clicking the "Source" button will show you exactly why the AI generated that part of the summary and where the relevant quote came from.
image
We’re already working on making the source analysis/annotation system even more powerful. For example, it could pull in extra details or related information from other meeting notes/your external knowledge base connected to the bullet point or text you selected. Stay tuned!
Tags View
Tags finally have a real use in Hyprnote! In the Finder view, you’ll now see a new "Tags View" tab where you can browse meeting notes by specific tags.
image
Separated LLM/STT Configuration tabs
We’ve tidied up our (previously) crowded AI configuration section. LLM and STT settings are now in two separate tabs: "Transcription" for STT and "Intelligence" for LLM.
image
image
More LLMs to choose from (Gemma 3 4B)
As shown above, we’ve added a new local model option: Gemma 3 4B! We’re always working to give you more choices so you can mix and match your ideal AI note-taking setup.
Better Audio Processing & Some Minor Fixes
  • Automatic mic gain: When the microphone input is too quiet, Hyprnote now automatically amplifies the sound for clearer and more accurate transcription.
  • Template editor fix: Resolved an issue where the cursor in the template creation form would jump to the end of the text instead of staying where you were typing.
We're also planning to ship some MASSIVE improvements to STT soon! So stay tuned.
That's all for today! Thank you.
  • Fixed internal chat tool calling functionality
  • Added initial support for auto-pause: automatically pauses recording if there is no transcript for 15 minutes
  • Stabilized transcript editor with smoother navigation, speaker splitting, and assignment
